Abstract

The financial crisis which overflowed the west is an estimated result of the phenomenon of debt. It is a crisis of mortgage guarantee and banks failure.
As the Islamic law prevents usury and decreases debts fields, the Islamic economics declares that debt is not acceptable for Muslim only for necessity, because of the negative coming results which affect the international and social policies. Therefore, the Islamic economics calls for debt conservation, and that is the aim of this research.
The research contains of five sections. The first section is about the concept of debt, the second is the imperative tense of debt, the third is the jurists provisions on the debtor, the fourth is the impact of religion on the social life, while the fifth is the impact of religion in the economic environment.
The research concludes that the debtor should not expand his debt when he is not able to pay off the debt, because it affects his life and increases the economic gap between poor and rich people; as a result, it makes an economic crisis.
