Abstract

After surveying of linguistic and grammatical sources and books of Holy Qur'an interpretation in the area of tripartite letters and their meanings, we managed to reach important results stating that the context of the Qur'an chooses words that coordinate into full cohesion, and that the lexical item in the dictionary has multiple potential meanings but they are determined by the context and this is what we found in this type of letters. Moreover, the combination of statements of exegetes, especially linguists and obtaining an objective vision of these letters and their characterization in the Qur'an, generates as many meanings to these letters. The views of scholars and exegetes provided in addressing these letters were not opposing; but they were grammatical and linguistic diversity infused these letters their privacy and their conditions. It is noted that the integration of linguistic, lexical and syntactic study in Quranic studies is of great importance. The linguistic study shows the semantic meaning of the words upon which the speech is structured. Such letters in Quranic structure have contributed - especially being conjunctions to Arabic sentences - in projecting the aesthetic image gained through context. It is a link between the meanings and connecting it to an aesthetic significance of meaning.
